All rooms, including bathrooms and laundries, must meet the ventilation requirements of the Building Code of Australia to prevent moisture build‑up and mould.
The main living area must contain a fixed heater in good working condition that meets current energy efficiency standards.
All internal window coverings with accessible cords must be inspected to ensure they meet blind‑cord safety requirements.
